The conditions on the slave airs were horrifying. Throughout the past lessons we take in been focusing on the middle passage. In this particular dissever I will be examining the conditions on the ship.

Studying the pic in more detail, you can tell that they are all lying on their backs, meaning this particular image is presentation a loosely packed ship. I think the creative person decided to lay down a loosely packed ship instead of a tightly packed ship to show that even though there are less mint and there is more space to move, it is still incredibly claustrophobic and dense. I think another reason a tightly packed ship isnt shown is because if an artist were to show it to the world, the Captains and break ones back Trader would dispel any allegations put against them.

If they werent quick enough they would be do to move causing excess excrement to stay on the floor.
